Lynn McLain traces his artist’s passion back to his childhood. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Texas Tech in 1971, and has been painting and teaching watercolor professionally since 1978. He is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, past president and signature member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society, past president and signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society, and present member of the Taos National Society of Watercolorists. Lynn founded and remains active in the Wet Brush Critique Group, which consists of 18 dedicated watercolor artists in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.

Lynn’s artwork has been included in many American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Southwestern Watercolor Society, New Mexico Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, and Arts for the Parks exhibitions. Also, they can be found in many collections, such as The Tucson Museum of Art, and the personal collection of Fred & Marita Hackl.

In addition to his painting and his association activities, Lynn finds time to conduct annual workshops at Tres Ritos, New Mexico. He also does demos and teaches workshops for different art organizations around the country.
